17 Above the outside entrance to the inner Sanctuary and on the walls at regular intervals all around the inner Sanctuary and the main Sanctuary, 18 angel-cherubim and palm trees were carved in alternating sequence. 19 a human face toward the palm tree on the right and the face of a lion toward the palm tree on the left. They were carved around the entire Temple.

Chapter Summary
After the prophet had observed the courts, he was brought to the temple. If we attend to instructions in the plainer parts of religion, and profit by them, we shall be led further into an acquaintance with the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven.
