27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
27 And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
27 And then he will send out the angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of heaven.
27 He'll dispatch the angels; they will pull in the chosen from the four winds, from pole to pole.
27 And then He will send His angels, and gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.
27 And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world -from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.
Matthew Henry's Commentary on Mark 13:27
Commentary on Mark 13:24-27
(Read Mark 13:24-27)
The disciples had confounded the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the world. This mistake Christ set right, and showed that the day of Christ's coming, and the day of judgment, shall be after that tribulation. Here he foretells the final dissolution of the present frame and fabric of the world. Also, the visible appearance of the Lord Jesus coming in the clouds, and the gathering together of all the elect to him.
