Prayers for deliverance from sin, evil, and death have been a Christian practice for thousands of years. It was taught by Christ Himself in the Lord's prayer saying, "And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil." (Matthew 6:13a)
Let us remember that God hears our prayers and answers them as is beneficial for our salvation. Do not be hesitant to ask God for deliverance from sorrow, evil, and pain and remember His words, "And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." (Luke 11:9)
Here we have gathered our favorite prayers for deliverance for you to pray when feeling tempted or discouraged. May these words inspire your repentance and hope in the Lord!

A Prayer for Deliverance from Evil
Father God, we praise you for your love and faithfulness towards your children. We praise you for being a perfect, holy, trustworthy God that is bigger than all the evil we experience here on earth.
We ask that you give us eyes to see when evil is before us, hearts to hate evil, and the desire to flee from its presence. We ask that you would not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil and draw us closer to yourself.
We ask for the long-expected Jesus to come quickly and make all things new. We ask these things His precious name. Amen. - Beth Ann Baus

Prayer for Deliverance From Fear
Lord, I know what Scripture says, but how can I not be afraid, God? How can I look at what’s happening in my country and in the world and not worry? There’s sickness, violence, and hate, seemingly everywhere. Am I next, God? Or someone I love?
I apologize for my fear, my worry, my anxiety. Please forgive me. God, I seek you now. Help me to replace those fears with your biblical truths. You told me you would never leave me nor forsake me. Help me to believe, Lord. Please assuage my unbelief.
Your Word is true. My fears are false. Help me to trade my “what ifs” for “God wills.” You are bigger than anything my mind can make up. I know this, but sometimes I forget. Remind me, God. Remind me of your power, your mercy, and your love. You will deliver me. There is no need for me to be afraid. Deliver me, God. - Crosswalk.com
Prayer for Deliverance from Bad Choices
Lord of Unfailing Love, I pray that You would deliver me from bad choices. I confess that I often make rash decisions or unwise purchases or jump into things without considering the cost. Forgive me, Lord, and give me Your wisdom to guide me. Help me to speak and live prudently, to think an issue through before I make a commitment, and to not be driven by emotions or wrong desires. And Lord, please deliver me from the consequences of the poor choices I’ve already made. Amen. - Source
Prayer for Deliverance from the Devil
O Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the living God, at your name every knee must bow, in heaven and earth and under the earth.
For us and for our salvation you came down from heaven and became truly human. For us you were crucified, you descended into hell, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and sit at the right hand of the Father in heaven. God and man, our Savior, our brother and redeemer, you have led captivity, sin, death, devil, and hell captive, you have crushed Satan’s head, you have destroyed his work, and all of us who have been baptized in your name you have redeemed from the terror of the devil.
Faithful Savior, you have promised with an oath: “Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. …Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full” (John 16:23-34). “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, and greater works than these will he do because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do” (John 14:12-13).
Based on this, your Holy Word, Lord Jesus Christ, we pray that you would look with mercy on this, your brother who is baptized in your name, redeemed with your precious blood, washed from sin, anointed with your Holy Spirit, your member, who is your flesh and blood, and graciously deliver him through your divine power from the tyranny and terror of the devil, whose afflictions drive us to repentance and serve as a warning for us. Drive Satan from him, when it is your will. For the sake of your most holy name, hear our prayer, so that your name alone may be praised, worshiped, and glorified. Amen.

Prayer After Deliverance from Trouble
Almighty and merciful God, I humbly and heartily thank you for your loving kindness and tender mercies, that you have heard my humble prayer, and graciously delivered me from my trouble and misery.
Give me the help of your grace that I may obediently walk in your holy commandments, and lead a sober, righteous, and godly life, always remembering your mercies and the blessings you have undeservedly bestowed on me, that I may continually offer you a sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
