The fruits of the Holy Spirit may seem common to us, as we’ve heard them over and over again. Yet, these are the exact attributes we want our babies to grow up displaying. Make it a regular bedtime prayer to pray the fruit of the Spirit over your baby. And as they grow, help them to memorize these holy characteristics as well.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (Galatians 5:22-23)
Lord, I pray for my baby to grow in love, joy, and peace, and in all of the fruit of Your Spirit. Help me to be a good example of these things to my child so that they will be encouraged to live them out as well. Thank You for Your Spirit who lives in me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
