"And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.” (Luke 24:5-7)

Why Easter Is Still Relevant by Andy Stanley

When Jesus died, hope died along with him. No one was planning to keep this new movement going, because, after all, it seemed Jesus wasn’t who he had claimed to be. Immediately following the crucifixion, there were no Christians, because there was no Christ. But then something happened. In this video, Andy Stanley discusses why Easter is still relevant:

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” (John 11:25-26)

Bishop T.D. Jakes: Resurrection Life Is YOURS!

Bishop T.D. Jakes preaches about Jesus' death and resurrection on TBN's Easter Sunday Special. He tells those who feel lifeless, fearful, and hopeless... there is reason to HOPE. T.D. Jakes explains the power of that resurrection life, available to all who believe. "He that was dead is alive forevermore. We serve an absolutely RISEN SAVIOR."

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead" (1 Peter 1:3)

Easter Sermon of St. John Chrysostom

A beautiful and powerful Easter Sermon of St. John Chrysostom, who was an Early Church Father and one of the greatest preachers of all time.

St. John Chrysostom was born in Antioch around 347 A.D. and raised by his mother after his father’s death. Around the age of 20, St. John met Bishop Meletius who introduced him to an ascetic life. St. John joined a monastic community and four years later, became a recluse. In 381, he returned to the world, becoming ordained in his late thirties. He became renowned for his brilliant preaching, which focused on individual and social morality taught by the gospels.

'Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him. For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9-13)

"Dawn of a New Day" by Bishop GE Patterson

In this popular Easter sermon, Bishop Patterson inspires his congregation using his singing style of preaching about the glorious Resurrection of Christ and our new lives in Him!

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." (2 Corinthians 5:17)

Easter Homily from Justin Popovic

“Man sentenced God to death; by His Resurrection, He sentenced mankind to immortality. In return for a beating, He gives an embrace; for abuse, a blessing; for death, immortality... By the Resurrection of the God-man, human nature has been led irreversibly onto the path of immortality, and has become dreadful to death itself.”

This Paschal homily from St. Justin is one of many he gave before his repose in 1979. He helps us feel and perceive the immortal life that Christ has opened for us, that we are to live eternal life here and now, that we must “feel immortality” in ourselves.

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
