May he, who in mercy took the form of a human infant for us, protect and defend us in all things. Amen.

Blessed Christmas Prayer
O God, you once lit up the sky with the heavenly host of angels singing your praises, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men.”
Open our ears to hear their good tidings of great joy, join our voices with them in praise, and move our hearts to constant prayer, that in the course of our daily lives we may see your light shining in the darkness, and that we also may shine like the stars in the universe, reflecting the brightness of the true Light; Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Blessing for Christmas Eve
May God Almighty, who by the Incarnation of his only Son drove away the darkness of the world and by his glorious birth enlightened this most holy night, drive away from us the darkness of sins and enlighten our hearts with the light of Christian graces. Amen.
And may he, who willed that the great day of his most holy birth should be told to the shepherds by an angel, pour on us the refreshing shower of his blessing, and guide us by him, our Shepherd, to the pastures of everlasting joy. Amen.
And may he, who through his Incarnation united earthly things with heavenly, fill us with the sweetness of inward peace and good will, and make us partakers with the heavenly host. Amen.

Blessing for Christmas Day
May God almighty, who made this most holy day to be sacred by the birth of his Son, bless us and rouse our minds to heavenly things. Amen.
And may he, who has placed him who is the bread of angels in the manger of the church to be the food of faithful creatures, both cause us in this present life to taste the sweetness of eternal joys, and lead us in that which is to come to the participation of everlasting rewards. Amen.
And may he who willed his infant form to be clothed in worthless rags, clothe us with the adorning of the robes of heaven. Amen.
A Nativity Prayer
Christ is born, glorify him.
Christ comes from heaven, go out to meet him.
Christ descends to earth; be raised up!
Sing to the Lord all the whole earth;
and that I may join both in one word,
Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad,
for him who is of heaven and then of earth.
Christ is in the flesh,
rejoice with trembling and with joy;
with trembling because of your sins,
with joy because of your hope.
The people that sat in the darkness of ignorance,
let them see the great light of full knowledge.
The old has passed away, behold, the new has come.
The letter gives way, the Spirit comes to the front.
He who is not carnal is Incarnate;
the Son of God becomes the Son of Man,
Jesus Christ the Same yesterday, and today, and forever.

A General Prayer for Christmas
Blessed Immanuel, Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of Man, we thank you for taking on yourself our nature, coming down from heaven and becoming fully human, and making us partakers of the divine nature.
You revealed to us the loving heart of your Father. You brought us peace and quenched his divine anger against us. By your blessed birth, we are made new creatures. You are our great High Priest through whom we have access to the Father.
Enable us, O blessed Lord and loving Immanuel, to confess your appearing in the flesh, always to be mindful of your great love and humiliation, most heartily to rejoice and comfort ourselves in the same, and evermore partake of its power. Open our hearts and lips that with the holy angels we may ever praise and magnify you.
Finally take us into your heavenly kingdom, that we may praise and serve you there, forever and ever. Amen. Blessed be the Lord, God of Israel. Blessed be his holy name. Let the whole earth be full of his glory. Amen.

Glorious Father, you have revealed your glory, your grace, and your truth by sending your only Son to become flesh and dwell among us.
Enlighten darkened hearts with this true light that shines on everyone, that all might hear, believe, and receive the right to become children of God; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

Christmas Day Prayer
O Lord Jesus Christ, true God from true God, you became a little child for us so the world you made would be saved.
Just as a child is born to us and a Son is given to us, may we be born again through you and always remain in the number of God’s faithful children; through your merits, O blessed Savior, with the Father and the Holy Spirit you live and reign, one God, now and forever. Amen.

A Prayer for Christmas Eve
O God, you were pleased to announce the coming of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, with choirs of angels who proclaimed with their song, “Glory to God in the highest, and peace to his people on earth.”
Grant that we may so pass our time here to your glory, that at your Son’s second coming we may rejoice before him. Amen.
