Published Jun 23, 2023

You have to watch this stunning video of a violinist performing the hymn ‘Crown Him With Many Crowns’ in the most picturesque setting.

“Crown him with many crowns, the Lamb upon his throne.
Hark! how the heavenly anthem drowns all music but its own.
Awake, my soul, and sing of him who died for thee,
And hail him as thy matchless king through all eternity”

Taryn Harbridge is the talented violinist in this video, and she does a fantastic job putting this beautiful piece together. In the vibrant music video, you can see gorgeous spring sights like apple blossom trees blooming and bees pollinating wildflowers, all while Taryn plays her violin and the lyrics of the hymn flash upon the screen.

You can see Taryn walking and twirling around with the beautiful scenery all around her, and the whole video is a real joy to watch as well as listen to.

“Hello, everyone! I hope you're all doing well,” Taryn writes to her fans in the caption of her YouTube video. “Here is my rendition of ‘Crown Him With Many Crowns’, along with one of my favorite fiddle tunes by Jeremy Kittel called ‘The Curious Beetle.’ I hope you enjoy!”

Taryn is known for doing covers of Christian hymns, as well as composing her own music and making music videos to go with them. “My ultimate goal in making music videos is to glorify God, encourage and uplift the body of Christ, and to share the Good News of the gospel with the world,” she writes on her YouTube page.

When it comes to the hymn ‘Crown Him With Many Crowns,’ it was written in 1851 by Matthew Bridges and Godfred Thring. And it was sung to the music of ‘Diademata.’ In 1874, 23 years after the hymn first appeared, six additional stanzas were written for the song by Anglican minister Godfrey Thring.
