Powerful Rendition of Psalm 46 Reminds Us of God's Endless Love

Published Sep 15, 2023

Check out this powerful rendition of Psalm 46, which will remind you of God’s endless and overwhelming love.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells (Psalm 46: 1-4).

In the video, you see stunning scenes of nature and hear enchanting music in the background while Pastor Tharren Thompson recites Psalm 46 aloud. Taryn Harbridge is the one responsible for putting this video together and shooting the scenes, as well as adding the music and audio.

“I do covers of Christian hymns, compose my own music, and make music videos to go with them,” writes Taryn on her YouTube page. “My ultimate goal in making music videos is to glorify God, encourage and uplift the body of Christ, and to share the Good News of the gospel with the world. I hope you enjoy the videos on my channel and that they are an encouragement to you!”

At the start of this Psalm, the writer begins with talking about God’s provision. He shares about how he looks to God for help in difficult times and found it. What a great reminder for us all!

“This video is really wonderfully made, Taryn! The footage, music, and words fit together perfectly and convey the sheer power of God,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video.

“Such a powerful video that truly exalts and honors our Awesome God! A splendid job with the arrangement and videography, Taryn! The storm footage is amazing, and the wide format feels truly cinematic,” writes another person online.

We hope that this wonderful video was an encouragement today as you reflected on the words in Psalm 46.
