Christmas is, arguably, the best time of the year. There are just so many reasons to love that season. It’s an opportunity to get together and spend time with family and friends. There is typically plenty of delicious food to eat, and receiving a gift here and there never hurts. Sure, the weather is often not the best in December, but nothing is perfect, right?
Despite all the celebrations and dinners, the gifts exchange,d and the time spent with family and friends, if celebrating and recognizing the birth of Jesus Christ is not the reason for all of it, then it’s a completely empty and rather meaningless exercise. As the popular saying goes, He is the reason for the season. He was born on that most holy of night to a virgin in a lowly manager.
In a clip posted on YouTube, the three siblings who make up Life in 3D sing about the events of that world-changing night. They sing the beloved and classic hymn “O Holy Night.” While we are very familiar with this song, that doesn’t make it any less meaningful and moving. The lyrics are beautiful, immediately transporting you to that evening when Christ was born.
“O Holy night! The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
‘Til He appeared, and the soul felt its worth”
What a stunning rendition of this beloved song. This is easily one of the best versions of this song you will ever hear. To think that these beautiful sounds are coming out of people so young is mind-blowing and unbelievable.
Luke 2:7: “And she had her first son; and folding him in linen, she put him to rest in the place where the cattle had their food, because there was no room for them in the house.”
