Church Shares Testimonies to Matt Redman Song, 'Blessed Be Your Name'

Updated Jan 29, 2024

One church shares heartfelt stories of their congregation set to the tune of ‘Blessed Be Your Name’ by Matt Redman. This inspiring song was originally released on Matt’s 2002 album, ‘Where Angels Fear to Tread.’ Even though the song wasn’t a hit from the start, after a cover from band Tree63, the worship tune shot to the top of the Christian charts. It even garnered a Dove award for Worship Song Of The Year in 2005.

“Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name”

Today, Central Christian Church is sharing true testimonies from their members. They decided to record these special stories set to the soundtrack of Matt Redman’s smash hit. One by one, the members of the congregation share their stories while singing along to ‘Blessed Be Your Name.’

“Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name”

Despite all of the struggles and trials that were endured, each person remembers to give praise to God.

Central Christian church wrote an important reminder for us all. The description of the video said, “The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away, but he is always worthy of our worship no matter the circumstance. All the stories contained in this video are true, and all the people are real--just like you. Allow their joys, triumphs, and heartaches to encourage you to praise God no matter what your situation may be. He is good and always with you!”
