Country superstar Carrie Underwood fills us with Christmas spirit as she sings the beloved hymn ‘O Come All Ye Faithful.’
While multiple different authors are credited with creating this classic Christmas hymn, it’s the 1841 lyrics written by Frederick Oakeley that many of us know and love today.
‘O come, all ye faithful joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
Come and behold Him
Born the King of Angels!’
Carrie became a household name after winning the fourth season of American Idol back in 2005. She won over the hearts of America with covers of songs such as Bonnie Raitt's ‘I Can't Make You Love Me’ and ‘Bless The Broken Road’ by Rascal Flatts.
After her win, she quickly climbed the country charts and made a solid name for herself in the country music world. It’s been 16 years since that momentous audition, and Carrie is still using her gift to touch our hearts.
Today, Carrie is reminding us of the reason for the season with this beautiful performance of ‘O Come All Ye Faithful.’
'O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord’
As we walk through this Christmas season, let us remember the real reason we celebrate, and that is the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. From a tiny baby in a manger to the man who saved us all, we will proclaim the Good News for all the world to hear!
Matthew 1:21 “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
