‘A Christmas We’ll Remember’ Father-Daughter Holiday Duet

Updated Dec 13, 2023

Christmas is the perfect opportunity for families and friends to create precious, long-lasting memories. Whether baking holiday treats, wrapping the perfect gift or watching an exclusive lineup of Christmas-themed films, memories can be created by doing anything and everything.

In fact, some of the best memories, those most near and dear to our hearts, occurred when doing something normal and ordinary. It’s not the activity that counts, but the people present that matter. In a clip posted on YouTube, Mat and Savanna Shaw sing their original tune, “A Christmas We’ll Remember.”

The musically gifted duo beautifully sings a track filled with references to typical Christmas activities and items. Likely, everything they sing about will strike a chord and bring up a memory for every listener. The nostalgia factor is strong with this tune, bringing up memories of and feelings associated with Christmases long past.

From the song’s opening lyrics, it’s clear that Mat and Savanna are unconcerned about the specific Christmas-themed activity. Both want to be able to slow down and cherish those precious moments, creating memories that will stay with them forever in the process.

“I wanna have a Christmas we’ll remember
Ribbons and bows all December through
Pecan pie late at night oh
I wanna have a Christmas we’ll remember”

In addition to the song’s lyrics, the tune’s official music video is filled with Christmas visuals and imagery. There is the beautifully decorated and lit tree, family members in the kitchen cooking up holiday goodies and snow-covered hills and trails.

The video looks like something ripped out of one of those cliché-filled Hallmark Christmas movies.

Whatever we do during the Christmas season, all that matters is that it’s a time to come together with family and friends to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ!

Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child has come to us a son is given; and the government has been placed in his hands; and he has been named Wise Guide, Strong God, Father Forever, Prince of Peace.”
