The 3 Wise Women of Christmas

We all know about the three wise men that are in the Christmas story, those Magi, the kingmakers who delivered the gifts to Jesus. But did you know that there are three wise women in the story as well? Of course, playing with that word a little bit, but these were women of great faith. The first one was kind of right before the story: Elizabeth, the cousin of Mary, believed that God would do what he said he would do, and that would bring a child for her.

And the second woman was Mary, of course, who was a woman of faith and the Bible says was highly favored of God. This woman also had such great wisdom and believed and then later on kept all those things that Jesus did in her heart and believed in Jesus. And then the third wise woman in the story was this prophetess in the temple that had been waiting her whole life to meet the Savior.

And when she saw this baby Jesus being dedicated at the temple, she said this is him.
