Rejoicing in the True Light of Advent

As we move beyond the official observance of Thanksgiving, I know how easy it is to want to just rush right into the to-dos and the checklist of preparing for the holidays. But in the midst of all those things, I want to encourage you to take time, pause, be still, reflect, and continue to cultivate a heart of gratitude this Advent season. You see, gratitude and Thanksgiving are not just a day; they are a lifestyle, not situational, and are matters of our hearts.

John 1, verse 9 tells us that the true light, which gives light to everyone, Jesus, was coming into the world. Let that anchor your heart today, give you a reason to rejoice, and bring you peace. May we embrace the days ahead with a focus on our King Jesus.
