How Ecclesiastes 3.1 Can Help You through Tough Seasons

So, today has been a little bit of an emotional day. Per his request, we met at my dad's house today and went through my mom's closet. She passed a little over two years ago, so as we were looking through her clothes and memory boxes and all the different things it resurfaced a lot of memories that triggered a bunch of different emotions mixed with joy and grief and sorrow and, um, it also just reminded me that grief can come on in really odd times.

As we enter the fall season, I find that that is often when grief resurfaces for me. So, if you are there and you are waiting through some really hard times and you're in the midst of a really hard season, I just encourage you to hold fast to Ecclesiastes 3.1, which reminds us that on this side of heaven, we are going to encounter all kinds of seasons, but there is joy that awaits us after this season here on earth. Heaven is something to rejoice in.

Hold on to that promise today.
