Walled In - Wholly Loved - March 10

Walled In
By Darlene Franklin

“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1

God didn’t build a fortress for me. He is my refuge. As soon as I turned to Jesus for forgiveness of my sins, I was placed “in Christ.”  In ways I don’t completely understand, God lives in me. There is no place I’ll ever go and nothing I’ll experience where God isn’t right by my side.

He could stop every attack I encounter, but He doesn’t. I would never grow into spiritual fullness if I didn’t learn how to trust and rely on Him. When I feel weak, I draw confidence knowing the Lord is my strength. His strength becomes mine when I trust in Him.

The fact God is my stronghold doesn’t mean I’ll never experience difficulties. It means I can face my battles unafraid.
