Who Are You When You're All Alone?
Psalms 19 was probably written from David's teenaged years. In those years David's life was characterized by a wholehearted devotion for God and His Word. When David was alone he sought the Lord with everything he had. We are given a clear picture of David in public—and in the privacy of the open plains of Israel while he watched over his sheep. David was a man after God's own heart.
Who are you when you find yourself all alone?
Here we find three basic lessons: v. 1-6 explains that David meditated upon the character of God when he was alone; v. 7-11 explains that David listened to the Word of God when he was alone; v. 12-14 explains that David feared the disapproval of God (heeded His Word) when he was alone.
