“And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.”
Let what you know about God lead you to trust in him!
You may not have known God for very long, or your experiences of him may be few. But let what God has done in your life shape your attitude toward the future. That is the way of peace in life.
The way we receive God’s peace is by trusting God in the midst of life’s storms. Adverse circumstances are normal in a fallen world, but we should rejoice because Jesus has overcome the world.
Not once does the Bible say, “Worry about it,” “Stress about it,” “Try to figure it out on your own,” or “Try to sort it out in your earthly power.”
Over and over, the Bible encourages us not to be afraid but to trust God.
He knows what he's doing. He hasn’t forgotten you. He hasn’t pushed you aside for more pressing matters. He hasn’t given up on you. When God is silent he is not still. Even though you can’t hear him he has promise after promise of his faithful love for you that you can easily access as you read his word.
He is working behind the scenes. Making a way for you to get through the trial.
Because you know his name trust in him. Because you know his name trust that he never forsakes those who seek him.
