May those who fear You see me and be glad, because I wait for Your word…May those who fear You turn to me, even those who know Your testimonies. May my heart be blameless in Your statutes, so that I will not be ashamed. (vv. 74, 79-80)
God wants you to live a life that brings joy to others who also love and serve Him!
You know the kind of person I mean. Even when see them coming, you know that your spiritual life will be stronger when you have been with them. And your time with them won’t only be serious time. There will be joy and laughter and prayer and Scripture all mixed together! Your heart is glad to see them. When you need prayer or encouragement or advice, you turn to them.
You can be that kind of person to others. You might not be that kind of spiritual person right now, but you can be. Not through an overnight decision, but through a lifestyle of walking with God and speaking with Him throughout the day and thinking as you encounter each person, “How can I encourage this person in their spiritual life? What could I share with them from the Bible? Can I stop and pray with them briefly?”
Why don’t you stop right now and pray these verses to God for yourself?
