Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God.(vv. 19-20)
Our faith gives glory to God!
If we do not put faith in God, then who are we giving the credit for everything that God has done in our lives? Ourselves. If we do not see God as the one behind all good things, then we must give the credit to someone else.
But when we become people of faith, people who depend on God for everything, then we honor God for everything in our lives. When we give thanks for our meals, we are not just mouthing words; we really are acknowledging that God has provided for us.
Have you realized yet that God is the One who has provided you with your job, your health, and everything else important to you? We rarely think of it, but every breath and every heartbeat we have is ordained by God. Every second of our life depends on Him.
As your faith grows, and it becomes more and more evident and obvious that God is at work in your life, then your faith becomes a witness to others of the greatness of God.
