Time with God - November 27

Sunday 27th November

Romans 1:16,18 and Romans 2:5

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel...for the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men…but because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.”

God’s righteous judgment and wrath will be released on those who do not turn to him through the gospel of Jesus Christ!

Some of the most important truths of life are unpopular, and this is one of them. It is not popular in our day to speak about hell or to say that people we know will actually face God’s judgment and wrath. But there is nothing more certain in Scripture than that truth. If you are a Christian and believe the Bible, you need to acknowledge there are people around you who will face God’s eternal judgment.

It is unpleasant. But if you ignore it and do nothing about it, then those people may never hear of what God has done for them, at such great pain to himself, to make a way for them to experience His love and grace and mercy instead of his judgment. If they don’t hear, then they will not find God’s forgiveness and they will be lost forever.

God wants you to share his love with those around you.

Take a few minutes of silence and let this truth sink into your heart: if people don’t hear about and accept God’s forgiveness, they will be lost forever.
