John 7:38-39 (NLT)
[Jesus said] "If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within." (When he said "living water" he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him.)
God wants to pour out His Spirit like a river to you and through you!
He's using people like you to pour out His living water to those in even the most remote places-like the jungle city of Iquitos, on the edge of the Amazon River; only accessible by air or water because the rainforest is too thick to cut roads through.
A Christian School is being constructed in Iquitos, through the work of Allan Myshrall and Ambassadors for Christ International's Canadian team who began this cooperative project with AFCI in Peru and the Fountain of Blessing Church.
Though the Fountain of Blessing church is only a fairly new non-denominational church in Iquitos, it's grown rapidly through multiplication of cell groups. The church leaders are especially concerned to provide a spiritually healthy and intellectually stimulating learning environment for the next generation. They also want to reach out with the Gospel beyond the borders of the city to those who live in more isolated communities along the Amazon River."
When the Lord comes into our lives, He pours Himself into our hearts through His Holy Spirit, who remains in us to be our Comforter, Guide, and Teacher. His goal is not only to bless us beyond what we could imagine, but even more to pour through us to bless a thirsty, hurting world. Every believer has a part to play in fulfilling His desire to extend the Kingdom of God, from praying, to building, to evangelising, to discipling, to all the different ways we minister to and build each other up. Like the church in Iquitos, we need to enlarge our vision to include future generations and those who have never heard the Good News. Have you asked the Holy Spirit to show you where He wants you to let Him pour out His blessings through you?
