John 6:5-9

Therefore Jesus, lifting up His eyes and seeing that a large crowd was coming to Him, said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread, so that these may eat?” This He was saying to test him, for He Himself knew what He was intending to do. Philip answered Him, “Two hundred denarii worth of bread is not sufficient for them, for everyone to receive a little.” One of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Him, “There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these for so many people?”

There is a place of inner rest and peace that is found by acknowledging that you don’t have what it takes to respond properly to the impossible situation you face!

Jesus waited for both Philip and Andrew to acknowledge that what they had could not possibly meet the need before He acted. He wants you to know that He will wait for you to learn that lesson too.

As long as you think you have to come up with the solution, the way out, you will be anxious, stressed, irritable, and frantic. But once you come to the realization that you are not adequate for this, that Jesus will have to step in, and you turn to Him, then you step into that place of peace as you wait for Him to unfold His plan.
