How to become naturally supernatural

May 22, 2012

And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Colossians 3:17

The famous Christian author, Dr. Oswald Sanders, said that we are to be “supernaturally natural and naturally supernatural.” That is, in the spiritual realm of our lives, we are to be totally natural—not forcing it or faking it. And then in day-to-day life, we’re to be supernatural—completely transformed by the Spirit of God.

You see, a lot of people like to make the Christian life about living spiritually in certain contexts. They’ll go to church on Sunday, maybe attend a Bible study now and then, and they’re very good about playing the part. But if you take them outside of those contexts, they’re essentially no different than the average person on the street. Their lives haven’t been changed.

In our text today, you’ll notice that the Scripture tells us that everything—both word and deed—in our family life, our work life, and any other realm of life you can think of, should reflect living for Jesus. If it doesn’t work there, it just won’t work!

Have you been so radically changed that you can’t help but let Christ shine through you every minute? Or, are you content with simply playing your part at church? Bring Jesus into every area of your life and you’ll be transformed by becoming naturally supernatural!

BECOME NATURALLY SUPERNATURAL BY INTRODUCING JESUS INTO EVERY AREA OF YOUR LIFE!

Unlock the Power of Persistent Prayer

Dear Friend,

If you’re like most Christians, you would agree that prayer is a vital part of a vibrant spiritual life. But when it comes to your personal prayer life, perhaps there’s a difference between what you say and what you do.

To me, the reason for this is clear: most people don’t really know how to pray. That’s why I want to send you my brand new book, The Promise of Persistent Prayer. In this book I show you how you can tap into the promises of God and open the floodgates of His blessings. And I share with you the one thing that really matters when it comes to making your prayers heard.

The Promise of Persistent Prayer is my gift to thank you for your donation to PowerPoint this month, so please request your copy when you give. It’s my hope that this book will show you how to break out of the ordinary and unlock the power of prayer in your life!
