Finding where faith works

July 20, 2011

For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”

Romans 8:15

There was a cricket player in England named C. T. Studd. One day, God called him to be a missionary. So he left his professional athletic career and he went as a missionary to Africa. And when he got to Africa, he gave his all for Christ. He was once quoted as saying, “Why do we have so many gamblers for gold, and so few gamblers for God?”

It was the same C. T. Studd who, when he returned on furlough from Africa, was told, “Don’t go back. You’re going to die over there.” And old Studd just clapped his hands and said, “Praise God! I’ve been looking for a way to die for Jesus!”

Faith demands risk. In fact, the very nature of faith is risky because if you believe God and leave your comfort zone not knowing where you’re going, there’s the risk of failure.

But a big faith is a faith that risks! So many people today want to just live in their comfort zone.  But that’s not where faith works. Faith works where there’s the possibility of failure. So when it comes to building your faith, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and trust God the entire way!

FAITH WORKS OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE. SO DON’T BE AFRAID TO MOVE AWAY FROM THE USUAL AND ATTEMPT GREAT THINGS FOR GOD!
