How to keep your body healthy and holy

For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.

I have a good friend who’s a doctor specializing in preventative medicine. His goal is to help people grow old gracefully so that throughout their lives, they’ll be active and healthy. He calls it, “squaring off at the curve.” You see, as the curve of our life cycles move up and down, his goal is to help his patients live with fullness of life until the curve is squared off and that person goes home to be with the Lord.
If you’ll take proper care of your body, Lord willing, you’ll have a full life to live until the day God calls you home. And you’ll be effective and fruitful in the life God has given you. That’s what God wants for you… to be a good steward of the body He’s given you for your time here on earth.
The Bible teaches so much about what you should put on your body and in your body. And each time, it does so for the purpose of helping you treat your body not as your own, but as God’s.
So as you live your life, consider your body as being on loan from God. Remember that He created you, knitting you together in the womb for the purpose of honoring and glorifying Him in everything you do!
USE YOUR BODY TO GLORIFY GOD BY STEWARDING IT WELL!
