Your Spouse as Best Friend
By David Chadwick
Over several decades of ministry, I’ve heard many different reasons why individuals leave their spouses. Some are valid. Many are not.
What have I learned? It is easy to leave your spouse, but impossible to leave your best friend. How can you leave a person who is your closest companion? Your most intimate ally?
You can’t.
If my dad were counseling your marriage today, he’d adjure you to make sure you spend time together. Share your hearts. Serve others, worship, and pray together. Become each other’s best friend.
Your lives become inextricably connected. It happened with mom and him.
And you will know what Jesus meant when he said, “What God has joined together, no person can ever separate” (Mark 10:9, author’s paraphrase).
Live in-tune with the heartbeat of God!
Right now, your gift will go twice as far when paired with a $10,000 Challenge Grant to help reach a $20,000 goal that will change lives.
