Your Attitude Is Showing

You awaken, shave, shower, and put on deodorant. You brush your hair to look as nice as possible. Good hygiene is necessary for the workplace. Then you put on clean, not rumpled clothes. You want to look good.
No female enters the workplace with her slip showing. Or her makeup smudged. Or her hair blown in different directions by the wind.
No male worker comes to work with his T-shirt sticking out. Or a part of his face unshaven. Or a brown coffee stain showing on a white shirt.
If you desire your outsides to be right when entering work, shouldn’t you want the same for your insides?
What rightly governs your insides? It’s your attitude. It’s extremely important for success.
Do an attitude check. Are you a positive or negative person? Do your words express encouragement or discouragement (1 Thessalonians 5:14)? Are you a team player? Do you deflect praise to others? Do you make people want to try harder or give up? Do others enjoy working with you on a project?
Whoever you are inside must be seen on the outside.
Your boss is watching. Does he see a great attitude? Most good leaders eventually reward people who have a great attitude.
Work hard. Do a good job. Get things accomplished.
But also think about your attitude (Philippians 4:8). Those around you, especially your overseer, are observing you. And when your attitude is positive and affirming, you are often given more responsibility---perhaps even a raise!
Your attitude is showing.
Just make sure you get it ready before you enter your workplace.
It’s much more important than anything you could ever wear.
