The Name of Jesus (Part 1)

Jesus said his name would give his followers dominion over serpents and scorpions (Luke 10:19). That means authority over the serpent, Satan, and his scorpions, the demonic hordes.
Therefore, pray today in the name of Jesus (John 14:13-14). Don’t just attach his name to the end of your aimless prayers, but pray specifically for your every need – in Jesus’s name.
If you are paralyzed in your past, pray in the name of Jesus. His strength won’t allow you to lie in lethargy or flounder in faithlessness. You will be set free to face your future.
If you feel rejected, pray in Jesus’s name. He is your healer. His rejection becomes God’s protection and redirection for your life.
If you feel fearful, pray the name of Jesus. He is in control of everything. His overarching providence is guiding you. Therefore, you need fear nothing (John 14:1).
If you have monetary needs, pray Jesus’s name over your situation. He is your provider and promises to meet all your needs (Philippians 4:19).
If someone has abused you, pray in the name of Jesus. He has given you a new identity. What happened to you does not define you (2 Corinthians 5:17). Your past is past.
If the enemy claims that you aren’t worth anything, pray in the name of Jesus. You are an adopted child in God’s eternal family (Romans 8:15). You are not a pauper, but a princess. You are not a perp, but a prince. Royal blood pulsates through your veins (1 Peter 2:9).
Praying in the name of Jesus gives you power over the enemy.
Use this power today.
And be set free from the chains that have shackled you for too long.
