Practical Suggestions to Become One
By David Chadwick

Husbands, if you want to become one with your wife, it won’t happen by fiat. You need to be intentional.

Here are some practical suggestions that have proven successful for husbands. And remember that almost every wife desires a deep connection with her husband. That’s her heart’s desire.

Therefore, when you arrive home, instead of flopping on the couch and mindlessly watching the television, take a few moments to sit and talk with her. Ask how she is doing and what she’s feeling. Be mostly concerned about her heart.

Another practical suggestion is that you set up a weekly date time. It’s essential. You both know that you are never more than a few days away from time together to talk, share with, pray for, encourage, and enjoy each other.

Make sure these times aren’t just about entertaining yourselves. Give opportunities for conversation. Every wife hopes her husband will practice Song of Solomon 2:10: “My beloved speaks … to me” (ESV).

These conversations between a husband and wife should begin in courtship. They are supposed to continue in greater depth throughout your marriage.

But husbands and wives must be intentional about planning them.

When you do, the two of you will become one – God’s will for all marriages (Genesis 2:24).

Recover the lost art of honor – and improve your relationships!

Strong, healthy relationships require honor –because people must treat each other with respect in order to develop trust and love. That’s why the Bible commands us to honor our brothers and sisters in Christ.

But that’s not always easy – especially when others frustrate us.

We want to help you improve your relationships – including your marriage – with The Lost Art of Honor, a new CD series from David and Marilynn Chadwick.

This powerful, four-part series will teach you…

  • What the Bible says about honoring each other
  • Practical ways to show honor to those around you
  • How to cultivate a culture of honor

The Lost Art of Honor is our way of saying thanks for your gift below to give others a fresh perspective on the reasons for hope in Jesus Christ.

So, thank you for your generosity to provide a Christian voice of reason in the modern world.
