Faith Is More Caught Than Taught

All godly parents want their children to have faith. How can this best happen?
Yes, it’s important to teach your kids the Scriptures, prayer, serving, and loving. But none of that will mean much if something is missing.
What can you not afford to miss? It’s a parent emulating faith.
Yes, my dad taught me the Bible, prayer, loving, and serving. However, I don’t remember much of what he said.
I do remember seeing my dad reading his Bible, praying in times of need, loving the downcast, and serving the needy. He lived out what he taught.
That’s why I’ve come to believe that faith for kids is more often caught than taught. Children believe when they see a parent living out their faith, not just talking about it.
It’s seeing your faith in action that will make a lasting impression.
That’s something else my dad taught me about life and parenting.
