Don’t Ever Forget This

Spiritual warfare is ferocious. The battle against the enemy is continuous and fierce. He wants to destroy you.
Though the war is vicious, if you are a follower of Jesus, please don’t forget this truth. If you remember it, you should never be discouraged and will be able to fight from a position of victory, not for victory.
What is this unforgettable truth?
God is the Creator. Satan is a creature.
That’s it. Simple, isn’t it? Yet so profound.
God made everything – including the angels and you. Yes, the devil is a powerful spiritual angel. But he’s still a mere creature.
God is the one who controls everything. If there is one atom outside his control, then every atom is outside his control. He uses everything for your good and his glory.
That includes the devil’s strategies. Even though he is extremely powerful, he is still God’s devil. His antics are overseen and used for good by his Creator.
Satan weaves disaster everywhere, yet God’s providence controls his puny power. Satan even crucified the Son of God – thinking he had won – only to discover three days later that the cross was God’s plan for victory over sin, death, and the devil.
Don’t ever forget that God is the Creator and the devil is a creature. Satan is on a leash. He couldn’t attack Job or Peter unless God first allowed it (Job 1; Luke 22:31).
You must still do battle with the evil one. Yes, his wiles are strong.
But if you believe that he has no power except what’s been given to him by God, you know that the battle belongs to the Lord and has already been won through Jesus.
Relax today.
The evil one has no real power over you.
