You’ll Be Physically Transformed at Jesus’ Second Coming
MARCH 12
And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image…. Genesis 5:3
Did you know you’ve never really seen a man? Well, you have, but not the way man was originally created. Suppose you’d never seen a railroad train, and I showed you a train that’s been wrecked with all the twisted metal on the tracks. Have you seen a train? Not really…you’ve seen a train wreck.
Likewise, with people. We talk about being “made in the image of God,” but after mankind fell in Genesis 3, we find we’re made in the image of Adam. Adam was created in the image of God, but that image was wrecked and spoiled by the fall. Adam brought forth a son in his image.
But, oh, what a change there’s going to be someday when we become what our Lord made us to be.
One of the most encouraging verses in the Bible says, “And as we have borne the image of the man of dust [Adam], we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man [Jesus] (1 Corinthians 15:49). Take heart, friend. We’re going to be like Jesus Christ. We’ve borne the image of the earthly long enough. Get ready for a transformation. Don’t be discouraged. Be confident in this: you will bear the image of the heavenly. You will be like the Lord Himself.
