Do You See Yourself as a Prophet?
DECEMBER 8
“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved.” Ephesians 1:5-6
In the Old Testament, there were three types of persons who were anointed by God: the prophet, the priest, and the king. As a believer, you are also a prophet, a priest, and a king because God has anointed you.
As prophet, you are to receive the Word from God and share that Word with others. As priest, you have direct access to God, so you can worship Him and offer spiritual sacrifices to Him. As king, you are to reign with Christ in this life.
Now, as you face the cares of the day, you can ask yourself, “What would a prophet say?” “How would a priest respond?” and “Would a king do this?”
Remind yourself throughout the day: By His grace, in Him I am a prophet, priest and king.
