Your Life is in His Keeping

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalm 55:22

I have a preacher friend who was on an airplane when the weather got really rough. The lady next to him was whimpering a little from fear and so he turned to her and tried to comfort her. 

She said, “Do you mean to tell me you’re not afraid?”

And he replied, “Well, I have committed my life into the keeping of my heavenly Father. And I have to be honest, I’ve reminded Him about that fact several times since we’ve been up here.”

Remind the Lord of His keeping as often as you want when times are rough. Cast your burden upon the Lord, and leave it there. Don’t pick it back up. He is able. In fact, He is more than able.
