Hands-on Faith for Families – Week of June 19, 2017
Theme: Demonstrate God’s Strength
Scripture: For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17 ESV).
Play: Instruct your kids to shut their eyes. Then ask them to open their mouths to taste something you will give them. Notice whether your children readily follow your instructions or ask questions first.
Talk: Sometimes it can be hard to follow commands, but the Bible says those who live by faith don’t shrink back (Hebrews 10:38, 39). That means when God asks us to do something, we should listen to what He is asking us to do and try our best to obey. What could you do when you find it hard to obey?
Pray: Ask God to give you a faithful, obedient heart.
