Theme: God Works Even When We Can’t See Him
God Is Our Protector
Scripture: “Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” (Proverbs 30:5).
Play: Test your child’s knowledge. Name a full-grown animal and have your child tell you the baby name for it (e.g., cat/kitten, dog/puppy, chicken/chick).
Talk: A baby chick will hide under its mother’s wings, where it feels safe. Kittens and puppies stay close to their parents for protection. Proverbs 30:5 says that God is our protection. When we are afraid or worried, we can come to Him. But even while God protects us, He doesn’t always prevent bad things from happening. Do you think there’s a reason He wants us to experience those difficult times?
Pray: Thank the Lord that He offers protection and safety to those who seek refuge in Him.
