When the Time is Right – Beloved Women – April 14, 2020
READ: “Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us.” (Ephesians 3:20 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Many people pick a word for the year; I just happen to not be one of them. I don’t have anything against it, I just tend to forget about it a week in. Yet, the Lord always presses a verse on my heart early in the year and it pops up at various times throughout the year. For about four years in a row, Ephesians 3:20 would always come up. After a while, I thought it might be because I was just getting lazy on listening for a verse, but those years the Lord knew how much I would need that promise.
It’s a reminder that His plan is always so much greater than what we come up with. I’m so thankful for this truth. He has proven Himself over and over. I’m so thankful for this as well, because while I do continue to grow in my relationship with Him, there are still times doubt, fear, and insecurity creep into my decision making. When I encounter the unexpected, or when something doesn’t go the way I thought, I may revert back to questioning God.
We can always hold on to the promise that no matter what, He is able to do far more than we can ever imagine!
PRAY: Lord, thank You. Thank You that we can always trust in what You have, even when we don’t understand or see the big picture. Help me today, in whatever it is, to trust that You are able to do far more than I can imagine. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
