Seeing God’s Beauty – Beloved Women – September 30, 2020
READ: “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.” (Psalm 19:1 ESV)
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT: Seeing the seasons change can be exciting and sometimes dreary depending on the season that you love the most. But it’s amazing that in each season that God has given us beauty to behold. In Spring, the flowers are starting to bloom and the air is crisp; in Summer, all is in full bloom and the sky is bright; in Fall, we have the beautiful leaves; in Winter,we have time to slow down and enjoy nights by the fire and hope for snow. Those that are near the equator have a beautiful world that is in full bloom year-round.
As we go through this life and experience the good and challenging times, let us be reminded of the beauty that God has given us to enjoy. In Psalms 19, King David says the Heaven declares the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Let us not miss the opportunities to take in the beauty of His Creation and remember that the same God that spoke this world into Creation, is able to meet any need, trial, fear, disappointment, or loss. He is Enough. Look around and see who our God is. The sky above proclaims His handiwork!
PRAY: Lord Jesus, help me to look up and around me to see the beauty of Your Creation. Help me to not miss the beauty that You have set before my eyes. Help me to have an Eternal focus in all I do, and know that this life will soon pass away, and I will see You Face to Face. Help me to look up and keep my eyes on You. In Jesus' name, I pray, Amen.
