Remember God’s Faithfulness – Beloved Women – May 10, 2019

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” - Lamentations 3:22-23 NIV
TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
In the midst of the affliction that the prophet Jeremiah witnessed, he never lost sight of God’s faithfulness and kept promises. Lamentations 3:22-23 reassures us that God’s mercies are new every day and won’t dry up. That is good news today! God’s faithfulness is consistent but we often need to remind ourselves during times of uncertainty and turmoil. When one prayer is answered, we swiftly move onto the next one. Each day brings new challenges, tasks, and situations that consume our attention.
When we are in the hustle and bustle of life, it is easy to forget how God has kept us, provided for us and sustained us previously. When you need encouragement for your present situation, just look back and remember God’s faithfulness. We can’t allow our immediate woes to drown out God’s faithfulness. Celebrate the ways that God has blessed you in the past and be assured that God’s faithfulness will never waver!
PRAY
Dear God, thank you for your steadfast faithfulness in my life. At times when I need a reminder, help me to pause and give thanks for the ways in which you have kept me. You will never leave me or forsake me. Forgive me for times when I have forgotten your faithfulness to me. I praise you for your consistent presence in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
