TODAY’S ENCOURAGEMENT
A cursory glance at the news these days is enough to see that we live in uncertain times. Hurricanes are devastating the cities that they strike. There are repeated scares of the outbreak of diseases. There also seems to be so much disharmony among people these days. You may even feel the sand shifting under your feet as you deal with the tragedy of the loss of a loved one or the breakup of a solid couple.
It may be hard to find the things that are constant, things that you can count on, but beloved be assured of this: the Lord loves you with an unshakeable love. Regardless of the changes around you, there is no change in the One who lives within you. Lean further and further into His love for stability in this unstable world. It’s His perfect love that casts out fear.
PRAY
Father God, thank You for your unwavering love for me. I’m so grateful that it’s not dependent on anything else, including my own faithfulness. Please help my heart to learn to trust the only One who could love me so deeply. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
