More than Insurance.

William Chatterton Dix is born at Bristol, England. An insurance agent, he wrote a number of hymns and versified many translations from the Greek. He also published a number of hymnbooks, but we remember him for the Christmas carol, "What Child Is This, Who Laid to Rest on Mary's Lap Is Sleeping?" Dix died in 1898.
