He Traded Medicine for the Pulpit.

William Paton Mackay, Scottish physician and pastor, was born at Montrose, Scotland. Educated at the University of Edinburgh, he practiced medicine for a few years. Feeling called to the ministry, he abandoned his medical practice, was ordained, and became pastor of the Prospect Street Church, Hull, in 1868. Seventeen of his hymns were printed in 1872. He gave us the challenging hymn "Revive Us Again."
