Bishop's Perfect Peace
Edward Bickersteth was born at Islington, England, the son of a clergyman. Educated at Trinity College, Cambridge and ordained in the Church of England in 1848 he was the curate or rector of several small parishes, and became a bishop. He authored Psalms and Hymns and made other contributions to Anglican hymnody. His best known work is his hymn "Peace, perfect peace."
