Frederick George Kenyon was born in London. Closely associated with the British Museum throughout his professional life, he devoted himself to discovering Biblical parallels in ancient Greek papyrii, making them intelligible to laymen, and convincing laymen that science does not disprove the Bible. His most reprinted work has been Our Bible and The Ancient Manuscripts(1895, rev. 1939).
