11 O the happiness of that one, who Hath not walked in the counsel of the wicked. And in the way of sinners hath not stood, And in the seat of scorners hath not sat; 2 But—in the law of Jehovah 'is' his delight, And in His law he doth meditate by day and by night: 3 And he hath been as a tree, Planted by rivulets of water, That giveth its fruit in its season, And its leaf doth not wither, And all that he doth he causeth to prosper.
4 Not so the wicked: But—as chaff that wind driveth away! 5 Therefore the wicked rise not in judgment, Nor sinners in the company of the righteous, 6 For Jehovah is knowing the way of the righteous, And the way of the wicked is lost!
11 Blessed is the man who doesn’t walk in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stand in the way of sinners,
nor sit in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in Yahweh’s law.
On his law he meditates day and night. 3 He will be like a tree planted by the streams of water,
that brings forth its fruit in its season,
whose leaf also does not wither.
Whatever he does shall prosper.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like the chaff which the wind drives away. 5 Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked shall perish.
