13 And Micah said, "Now I know that the Lord will be good to me, since this Levite has become my priest."
13 Then said Micah, Now know I that the Lord will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
13 Then Micah said, "Now I know that the Lord will prosper me, because I have a Levite as priest."
13 Micah said, "Now I know that God will make things go well for me - why, I've got a Levite for a priest!"
13 Then Micah said, "Now I know that the Lord will be good to me, since I have a Levite as priest!"
13 "I know the Lord will bless me now," Micah said, "because I have a Levite serving as my priest."
Matthew Henry's Commentary on Judges 17:13
Commentary on Judges 17:7-13
(Read Judges 17:7-13)
Micah thought it was a sign of God's favour to him and his images, that a Levite should come to his door. Thus those who please themselves with their own delusions, if Providence unexpectedly bring any thing to their hands that further them in their evil way, are apt from thence to think that God is pleased with them.
