“Jiphthahel” means which God opens
Jiphthahel: The valley of, a valley which served as one of the landmarks for the boundary of both Zebulun, (Joshua 19:14) and Asher. (Joshua 19:27) Dr. Robinson suggests that Jiphthah-el was identical with Jotapata, and that they survive in the modern Jefat , a village in the mountains of Galilee, halfway between the Bay of Accre and the Lake of Gennesareth.
